ElevenLabs is one of the strongest platforms to investigate when voice generation is the center of the workflow rather than a small add-on. The combination of text-to-speech, Instant Voice Cloning, Professional Voice Cloning, dubbing and API access gives it unusually broad coverage. The trade-off is a credit-based system that requires users to understand how different products consume the same monthly balance. What is ElevenLabs?
ElevenLabs is an AI audio platform built around synthetic speech and generative audio. The platform can create spoken audio from text, clone authorized voices, dub existing content, transcribe speech, design synthetic voices and generate other audio assets.

Instant and Professional Voice Cloning
ElevenLabs separates voice cloning into Instant Voice Cloning and Professional Voice Cloning. Instant cloning is available from the Starter tier, while Professional Voice Cloning is available from Creator. This makes the product easier to evaluate for users who specifically need a persistent synthetic version of an authorized voice.
Dubbing and localization
The platform includes automated dubbing and Dubbing Studio. ElevenLabs currently promotes Dubbing v2 for multilingual localization across more than 90 languages and accents. This can be relevant to video creators, publishers and companies adapting content for international audiences.

The Free plan includes 10,000 credits per month. Starter increases that to 30,000 credits and adds commercial licensing, Instant Voice Cloning and Dubbing Studio. Creator includes 121,000 credits and Professional Voice Cloning. Higher tiers increase capacity and add team or business-oriented capabilities.
Credits are shared across products, and the amount consumed depends on the feature and model. That means the headline subscription price is only one part of the real cost for heavy users.
